I just tried to explain to my 7 year old niece what DNA and genes are. When I said 'genes' she lifts up her leg and says "Lookit my jeans! Aren't they cute?" *facepalm*


I even knew as the words left my mouth that she'd do that. Silly girl.

So I tend to go on drives at night, mostly cause I get restless and sometimes I get insomnia. Tonight I decided to go and look at all the christmas lights. As I was driving around town I thought to myself how funny it would be if I got pulled over for looking suspicious. And right after that thought a cop starts to drive behind me for a good four blocks. I was like "Great, my tabs are expired and I look suspicious as hell driving so slowly." So I decided to take my drive out of town. I didn't see anything too interesting, sadly. There was a yard fire though, so I saw a bunch of firetrucks...that was about it.

My friend David called me though, during my drive. That was nice, since I haven't harassed him in awhile. Which I mentioned to him. Which caused him to remind me that I did, indeed, harass him the other day when I sent him the text "Suck any cocks lately?" him "No. Why? Did one of my gay lovers come out of the closet?" me "Yup. He said you were a selfish lover, so I thought I'd ask for myself" him "ROFL. Nice." You're awesome David XD

We proceeded to talk about Anime Detour, our other friend's psycho girlfriend, and the fact that he thinks I'm weird for randomly driving around.

Oooh. Tomorrow I'm going to go get a Christmas tree with my dad! I love going out in the woods and cutting down a tree. I think it's sad to cut a tree down for decoration, but my dad plants trees all the time on his property so I think it evens out ^_^

What in the world? (to quote my drunk uncle...off topic) Some joker tried to claim that "Creep" by Radiohead is a cover. Pfft. They obviously don't know what they're talking about. Granted, part of the melody was taken from "The Air That I Breath" by The Hollies, and credit was given, but that in no way makes "Creep" a cover. Jeez. Think before you speak. If you don't know what the hell you are talking about, and just don't like Radiohead, don't make a comment on it. No one is forcing you to listen to their music.

On a different note, I played Rockband for the first time tonight. I loved it. The drums were my favorite. The guitar was hard to get used to, since I'm used to the Guitar Hero guitar, but I still did fine with it. "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet was a bitch and a half on hard though. We failed. Hardcore. But it was still fun. I might have to buy it...hmm...

I heard the song "Flagpole Sitta" the other day. I hadn't heard that song since I was in Jr. High. Crazy. Still love it tho. :)

10 weeks since last entry...hmmm...it's amazing how pneumonia can make a person update their journal. Guh...

So life has sucked recently. I started getting a cough about three weeks ago. After the first week I quite smoking, nothing changed, still had the same cough. Around the second week my chest started to hurt really bad (back too). And so today (three weeks later) when I went to visit my mom and told her about it she made me (literally she forced me to) go to the doctor. I hate doctors. And I don't have insurance. But my mom said she'd pay for it...and I know she can't afford it either but whatever, I'll work it out cause I hate when my parents pay for things I can't afford even if they can't afford it either. My dad actually told me to go on welfare for the benefits, geez...Anyway, I go to the doctor, she says she wants to take a chest x-ray, I laugh at her and say no way (expensive!!), so she says she can't know for sure without the chest x-ray but I probably have pneumonia, so that's what my meds are for. And if I don't feel better by Monday I have to go in again. Fuck that noise. I paid $45 for the meds, they better work. >:(

At least I don't smoke anymore.

Ah, yesterday I watched my nephews (brother's kids). They were super heroes for a little while, with blankets tied around their necks like capes. It was cute. My two year old nephew kept shooting me with a gun (pretend) and I had to keep on pretending to die. I swear I died like forty times. They thought it was hilarious though. So that's all that matters.

I also taught my other nephew (my sister's kid, he's 4) to call the police the po-po. She just rolled her eyes at me. Then I tried to teach him to call police officers 'pigs' but she put the kabosh on that. (Don't get me wrong, I respect cops, I just think it's funny that a 4 year old calls them the po-po now ^____^)

That's about it. Going to my mom's for Easter, going to stuff my face with candy and eggs and ham and probably gain 10 pounds. Eh whatever. It's a holiday.

Well, at least Itachi did something slightly useful by sealing Orochimaru (the original, not the one psycho Kabuto has growing on him like a tumor) up in a genjutsu. But that kinda sucks for Sasuke...but really, how can Sasuke die? I mean, he has to at least fight with Naruto first. And then the thing is, everyone knows Naruto won't die, cause he's the main character...but that'd be kind of cool if he did die...like in Cowboy Bebop...

On another note 25 DAYS TIL ANIME DETOUR!!! I've been excited for the convention for like...months. I can't wait to cosplay!

But now I think I'm going to go make an Ein (Cowboy Bebop) hand puppet and a Cactuar (Final Fantasy) hand puppet. Wish me luck with the Cactuar (ganbatte!).

We went to Kelsey's choir concert today. It was in a Cathedral. As soon as I stepped inside the door I was like "Oooh God is gonna strike me down." But he/she didn't. That was cool of him/her. Thanks God.

So the costumes for Anime Detour are almost finished!! My Kankuro costume is done, of course, and has been done for a year...heh...

Karasu and Kuroari (Kankuro's puppets) are almost finished. The ladies just need to get their stockings, shorts, and long sleeved shirts, and then I need to attach the arms to the shirts, and put a support strap in the Kuroari mask. Oh yeah...I have to Spackle and paint two hands and then I'm done done done!

So now, because of that...I'm drinking. Yay for beer! Boo for drinking beer alone...mou...But as soon as a roommate comes back...they shall drink too...

It was the roommate's birthday last night. Despite that fact that we all said we weren't going to get drunk, just have one shot, cause it's her birthday, we all got drunk. Me and the birthday girl especially. I still kicked everyone's ass at guitar hero. Meheheh.

I saw that there's going to be a new Indiana Jones movie in May. I'm excited. I'll make my dad go with me, but I'm pretty sure it won't be too hard to convince him to go. He likes Indiana Jones. Now I want to go watch the other I.J. movies, but they're at my dad's...three hours away...hmmm...Maybe I'll just go rent them or something.

Well. That's just about it. I have a headache. Boo.

Holy crap it's 10 degrees today. That's above 0. It hasn't been above zero for a few days now. So...sweetness. And this weekend, it's gonna be in the 20s! As Kelsey said, "It's a frickin' heat wave!" Yup.

I've been searching for jobs lately, since I still haven't heard back from AEON and I'm not going to wait forever. I'm pretty picky though, so although I found a few jobs, I don't want to apply to any of them, cause they aren't the "perfect" job.

Bah. Gotta get a job eventually.

So, I had my interview for the teaching position in Japan earlier this week. I had the group interview, then I was called back (yay!) for a personal interview. I think I did well. I really hope I get the job!!!

On another note, I absolutely HATE Chicago. It's like the dirge of the earth.
